Dear Friends and Seniors of the Irrigation Department,
It gives me immense pleasure and pride to write this message as the First General Secretary of the Uttarakhand Sinchai Abhiyanta Association. First, I would like to heartily thank and wish to extend my deepest respect and appreciation to all esteemed members of our association for electing me as General Secretary and for their strong support.
The world is changing; it is getting more competitive and at the same time, offering enormous opportunities to those who possess appropriate skills, the right attitude and an innovative mind. Technology and innovation are going to be the key facilitators of success in the future. Dream big, think big, experiment and be passionate about whatever you do. Challenge the norms, create something new and make your identity. We all live in the age of instant results and quick fixes. But what we must not forget is that success does not come this way. It cannot be achieved instantly. It only comes with sheer hard work, dedication, pushing oneself beyond one’s capabilities, striving for excellence and making the best of opportunities. If you are passionate about something, then follow your passion, and success will be yours.
There is a lot to learn from these tiny, remarkable teachers in nature. An ant can carry 50 times its own body weight and pull 30 times its weight. Drawing inspiration from this amazing fact, we can surely aspire to counter challenges greater than what we think we can handle. But by putting our hearts into what we do and leveraging all our strengths, we can amplify our energy levels dramatically for optimal delivery. To achieve the maximum, aim for the highest. Certainly, to be an achiever, you have to be a believer first. Ants work—none to supervise, none to direct or coordinate, yet they work in unison. They are self-starters; they are not strong and powerful. But they make up for their diminutive structure through sheer hard work, dedication, discipline and perseverance. We too should make up for our deficiencies, if any, by becoming more firm, focused, task-oriented, dedicated, organized, disciplined, committed and coordinated.
In today’s world, the most important factor, whether it be professional or personal, is to stay connected. One needs to stay connected to his or her surroundings. One should always be connected with one's community, workplace and house. I am sure that we, as Engineers, make the best use of technology to stay connected. Taking this concern of staying connected forward and making the best use of technological advancement, we, the newly elected Managing Committee of this Association, thought it fit and proper to begin our term with the setting up of a Web site for our Association.
This Web Site will not only help us to stay connected with our professional field but also help us to communicate amongst our members with our concerns, suggestions and knowledge. This Web Site will not only increase connectivity among us but will also give each one of us a common platform to share our experiences, grievances and information amongst our members.
As the General Secretary of USAA, I will embrace your hopes and hear your appeals. This coming year will be a landmark year in the history of our association and many radical changes will have to be made, for which I am sure that the entire member will stand as one united family. I look forward to active participation from one and all to make all the years a grand success.
Dedicating the Association to our great country, I bow myself before "GOD" for his blessings on all of us now and for all times to come. It is hoped that with an inbuilt momentum, our association will continue to march onward to a better tomorrow in the service of the Nation. God bless you all and be with you today and always.
I am an optimist, and I am full of hope for the future of our organization. Let us work together for our organization, which can deliver more and better.
